General information and mandatory disclosures

Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Christian Echternacht
Nollendorfstrasse 25, 10777 Berlin
Phone: +49 (0) 1705416838
Email: info@echternacht.com

The controller decides alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing personal data such as names or contact details.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Some data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent already given at any time. An informal email is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

If you believe that data protection law has been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent authority for data protection matters is the state data protection commissioner of the German federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection commissioners and their contact details is available here: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract, either for yourself or for a third party, in a machine-readable format. If you request direct transfer to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.

Right of access, rectification, restriction and erasure

Within the framework of applicable law, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification, restriction or erasure of that data. For this and other questions on personal data, you may contact us at any time using the contact details listed in the legal notice.

SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” address line in your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • visited page on our domain
  • date and time of the server request
  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits processing for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set analytics or marketing cookies without your consent. To store your cookie choice, the value “cookie_consent” is stored locally in your browser. This storage is required so that your choice is respected and the banner does not reappear on every page view.

The legal basis for locally storing your consent choice is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is privacy-friendly and technically reliable consent management.

If you consent to Google Analytics, Google Analytics may store cookies or comparable technologies on your device. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer or reset it by deleting this website’s data in your browser.

For storing or reading non-essential information on your device, we request your consent in advance. The legal basis is Section 25(1) TDDDG; subsequent processing of personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 only after your active consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The parent company is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Without consent, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics data is transmitted to Google Analytics. Only after consent is the gtag.js script loaded from googletagmanager.com in order to statistically evaluate the use of this website.

In this process, usage data, technical device and browser information, referrer information, shortened IP addresses and interactions on the website may be processed. A transfer to Google servers outside the European Union cannot be excluded.

The legal basis for using Google Analytics is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings in the footer. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.

IP anonymisation and data processing

According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses permanently and uses IP addresses to derive approximate location data. In addition, IP anonymisation is enabled in the technical integration. Google uses the collected information on our behalf to create reports on website activity and evaluate the use of our offer.

Browser plugin

You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Further information and data processing agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. Further information on how Google Analytics handles user data is available here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Fonts

This website uses the Inter font. The font is served locally by this website. When pages are accessed, no connection to Google Fonts or fonts.gstatic.com is established.

The local integration is used for a consistent and performant presentation of our web offer. No IP address is transferred to Google through font loading. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the consistent presentation of the website.
